Clarets take on the Gunners at Turf Moor

Burnley return to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon (3pm) as Vincent Kompany’s side host third-placed Arsenal in the Premier League.

The Clarets will be looking to continue their undefeated record at home in 2024 following draws against both Luton Town and Fulham in previous weeks.

Arsenal have only won once in their last three visits to East Lancashire, after draws against the Clarets in both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 campaigns.

Form Guide

Burnley come into this weekend after defeat at Anfield last week despite a spirited performance against the Premier League leaders.

However, the Clarets are yet to taste defeat at home in 2024, after a 1-1 draw was followed by a 2-2 draw with Fulham earlier this month.

The Gunners have won their last four games in the Premier League scoring 16 goals in the process with six of those coming last weekend in a 6-0 win over West Ham United.

Prior to Arteta’s side’s impressive winning run, the North London team went four games without a win in all competitions, losing three of them.

What Vincent Kompany said

“These sort of teams (Arsenal) have always got tools to hurt you and we need to make sure we make use of our moments that we create.

“We have faced a lot of the top, top teams in the last couple of weeks and it hasn’t changed from when we played Spurs, City, Liverpool, you do need something to go your way on the day.

“It has to be belief. There is no magic recipe for this game. They have incredible players in every position but we can be difficult to play against sometimes and we need that on Saturday.

“It’s practice and belief together, you have to believe that the next time you are in a situation to score in, you find the back of the net.”
