A look in both camps ahead of Saturday’s clash

Burnley

Striker David Datro Fofana is unavailable for selection at Stamford Bridge with the forward being on loan from Chelsea and unable to feature against his parent club.

Lyle Foster returned to the matchday squad last time out against Brentford following his recovery from his surgery.

Defender Ameen Al-Dakhil hasn’t featured for the Clarets since January and remains a doubt this weekend.

Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsey, Jordan Beyer, Nathan Redmond and Luca Koleosho all continue their rehabilitation from their respective longer-term injuries.

Chelsea

Right-back Reece James remains out for this weekend but Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino hopes to see the England international feature before the end of the season.

Pochettino admitted Chelsea would need to ‘asses’ left-back Ben Chilwell ahead of Saturday with the 27-year-old picking up an injury following international duty with the Three Lions.

World-Cup winner Enzo Fernandez played 82 minutes in Argentina on Wednesday night against Costa Rica and only returned to Cobham on Friday.

Former Brighton man Levi Colwill picked up a toe injury against Brentford earlier this month and still remains sidelined.

Full-back Malo Gusto was forced to return to London early from his international duty call-up with France U21s with the youngster suffering from a virus.

Attacking duo Carney Chukwumeka and Christoper Nkunku are both a doubt for the weekend with the pair recovering from their respective injuries.

Centre-back Wesley Fofana and midfielder Romeo Lavia are likely to miss the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
